They could take it to the stables (sold for lots of peds to the players for this purpose), for buffs and training. You have battle arenas and these are in the game but unused.
How many years should it take to make a simple program allowing players in eu to place pets in a terminal for sale and another terminal in compet to buy it and vice versa. It can be placed at the stables in eu and they could have sold a stable in compet.
As for compet even the kiss of life and a relaunch will not save it. Why should a dead game be left running draining money. When was the last compet staff member even in the forums? When was the last update? When was the last donation to run it? If the admins and devs don't care about the game, it does not bode well for its life.
As for the compet deeds I have they might bring novelty value peds in the future, but I have wrote them off as a source of peds. I will not even sell or trade them to another player they are now that worthless I am using them as a decoration in my eu apartment.
I have no idea what the complications are to link a unity game with a cryengine game. Although It isn't hard to give compet some life, simple things like a ped paid forest that pay rewards and offer chance to loot something (i.e. the dream) even if that means pulling it away from any rules dictated by google play etc. Part of the reason the ped battles didn't work is we were fignting for the chance to win a single ped pool, not a reward as such per fight like EU works, but players didn't like it. Besides why would players want to use ped when there's an option to use gold.
The current failure isn't with the players, it lays solely with the developers refusal to add the content Compet needs so that players see purpose to want to play it. Things can change though, if we can believe in the promises MA have proposed. MA have a duty and obligation to generate revenue, since they sold revenue deeds. We didn't buy shares in this game we bought the promise of revenue.
Assuming MA sold all the deeds we're talking 2 million USD of investment, that's a lot of money trusting Mindark promises sold to their own player base. That kind of money is not simply a novelty to be forgotten.
All that said, there's other forms of resolution. If Mindark dont want to deliver the content Compet game needs, then they can return the investment to players, or offer an alternative deed such another issue of CLD, or trade them for teleporter deeds....just somethng to fix the issue, even send EU pet revenue to compet deeds.
Are Mindark working on Compet? We don't know they don't say anything. Although one thing is for sure, if they don't fix it and bury their heads in the sand, it will continue to have massive effects on the economy of EU, and trust in Mindark's main product, since these deeds were sold to EU players as an EU item, and still trade as an Entropia Universe item.
What is more frustrating is Compet can be made into a wonderful game, if MA want it be a great game. So the big question is do Mindark have the appetite to deliver for their own sake as well as ours? Time will tell I guess.
But let's not make it easy for Mindark; they have taken our money, they owe us. We're not writing off anything.
