Make it have as many or more buffs than the summer rings, etc. Make each pet have unique buffs not released yet... lots of potential...

I think MA view pets in a very different way than we do (or want to do). MA treat pets in EU as bolt-on items (i.e. an addition to something), rather than a tool or item that does a particular job in its own right. In compet; pets are a weapon, and the trinkets are the bolt-ons buffs.
So that suggests any pet that transfers to EU, drops from being a weapon to a buff. I like to view pets as digital living creatures that are crying out to do certain roles, be that specialist types of mining, digging pecking, or hunting, tagging, fapping, protecting..etc. So athough buffs might be useful in EU, the game appears not to want to class them as anything more that.
In fact the numbers of high end pets MA dump into EU, suggests they don't value them as quality items. I find that quite strange, as MA would be fully aware of the values originally paid for top end pets. It's like the players are saying to MA, "I consider this pet really valuable"...but the the reality is, it isn't at all....smiles.
So until MA see this percieved value and usefullness in pets that the players think "should be there", then everything really lacks a lot of purpose or has limited longevtity. Even if MA give compets pets a weapon skill gain buff, it won't be long before the EU market is saturated with such pets, then that purpose is shortlived.
There was talk a long time ago about pets transfering to compet to level up, although I heard rumours that might be ditched in compet. No one is much of a fan of sacraficing pets to level up anyway.
The other thing I find quite strange is this talk of selling EU stuff or pets to compet. I simply do not see the desire in compet to pay the type of values that players accept in EU. That's mainly due to "purpose" again, the max you can get out of compet is to win the ped pool, if you play with ped. Compet simply does not have enough options to
chase a dream, that keeps EU going.
Its not that compet would've have the players, the game needs a reason to "chase the dream" for the players to come in the first place....hahaha. Thats's why I say, that only the foundations have been laid in compet. It somewhat tickles me to be honest, that MA didn't introduce this desire to win something in many different ways that would attract traffic in a Compet RCE environment other than that single PVP ped pool.
Anyway without writing a whole book.....it all comes down yet again to that one word, lack of "purpose".
